GCCAAO aims to carry out all matters that might lead
to organize and develop
accounting and auditing profession in GCC countries,
to realize coordination and
integration between these countries. In particular,
to review, develop and approve
the professional standards such as accounting and
auditing standards, and code of ethics and
professional conduct, taking into consideration the
international standards and the
experiences of other countries and professional organizations. Also, GCCAAO
aims to develop and unify all the rules and regulations - including licencing
procedures - governing the accounting profession in GCC countries. Further,
GCCAAO aims to establish the necessary rules for fellowship certificate
examination, which will cover the professional, practical, and theoretical
aspects of the accounting and auditing profession. to promote professional
performance, prepare and conduct the CPE program related to the profession.
